About the Inn

The warm, lantern-lit doorways of SHIP'S KNEES INN invite the traveler to step inside and enjoy a unique lodging experience. Each of the rooms is individually decorated in a distinctly nautical style with special colonial color schemes and authentic antiques to enhance the "Yankee" atmosphere.

Hand-painted trunks, old clipper ship models, braided rugs and four-poster beds are just a few of the delightful accents to be found in the Inn's 16 guest rooms. Some of the rooms have ocean views and the master suite has a working fireplace. There are several rooms that feature authentic ship's knees - blocks of wood shaped or cut to serve as brackets used to fasten and strengthen deck beams to the frames of wooden vessels.
